Beginning in 1987 and through to 1997 I have been asking questions, about the relationships between medical science, technology, and the female body and art. In this piece I’ve turned my attention to some of the struggles we face both as individuals and as part of a collective humanity.
A tableaux whose form references Christian altars and contains an ongoing dialogue between myself and the world around me and takes the form of an interplay of audio recordings (three of my prose poems) and objects. Existing as both an expanded walk-through altar and a stage set for a play in which the characters speak only to the audience, and never each other.
